PHOENIX – (Jan. 24, 2024) Girls in Tech Phoenix is set to host its first hackathon of the year on Feb. 24 at Skysong in Scottsdale, when 20 participants will square off to create something great that will also do much good.

The event marks the Phoenix Chapter’s 2nd Squirrel365 no-code Hackathon partnership with Infosol, an information systems solutions provider, to benefit a local nonprofit organization.

In August 2023, Girls in Tech Phoenix Chapter hackathon participants received advance copies of Infosol’s Squirrel365 software a day before the event. After checkin, Greenlight Solutions Foundation, an environmentally conscious non-profit organization, provided each participant with access to data sets. From there, each participant created an interactive dashboard for users to sort, connect and visualize metrics otherwise buried in spreadsheets.

Next month, hackathon participants will be tasked with using the same no-code software. This time, hackers will develop tools on behalf of Mindfulness First. The nonprofit provides mental wellness support tools for schools, businesses and community groups.

Registration for the hackathon opens soon and will be capped at 20 participants. Follow Girls in Tech Phoenix on social media or subscribe to its newsletter for updates on this and other upcoming events.
